a while back I started working on an idea, emulating Michael Brauer’s modified AWA G7201 Limiting Amplifier. the specs are available online and Brauer’s modifications are well known. i’d heard rave reviews for the kazrog mhb green so I knew it could be done well digitally.

after many iterations I landed on a pretty nice sounding, but honestly kind of boring, effect. the controls were slightly weak, so I set to change them to a non-linear curve to make them more responsive.

what I accidentally landed on is a glitchy, sputtery, asshole of a pedal, that can do both nice clean, and tempered compression on low settings, but quickly overloads to make weird with your sound.
